JSC Global Ideas Training Centre runs its educational activities in six largest cities of Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and Marijampolė), and has more than 300 learners per year.

The Centre provides non-formal vocational education courses and in-service training seminars in a range of subjects, including: accountancy, administrative work, sales management, client service, as well as those building adults’ digital competences through use of IT, photography and video making.

The training topics are not limited to the above mentioned – JSC Global Ideas Training Centre is constantly exploring possibilities to expand its educational offers in terms of learning outcomes, methods, target groups and geographic scope.

In 2009, we have introduced the most popular courses in e-learning mode using Moodle platform (http://e-mokymai.globaliosidejos.lt/) thus combining our expertise in training and ICT.

Teachers
Aiming to meet growing requirements of our learners and to increase flexibility of training courses, currently we cooperate country-wide with 22 freelance teachers. Our teachers have due educational background and abundant experience to lead educational activities sucesfully during face-to-face and e-learning sessions.

Learners
Although the Company runs its educational activities on the commercial background and is self-sustaining institution, it has huge share of disadvantaged learners due to Company’s highly flexible pricing and sound discounts offered to these particular groups.

85% of our current learners come from socially disadvantaged groups that face problems with the successful integration to the labour market. The majority of them are: 1) unemployed people, who lost their jobs and want to change/improve their qualification; 2) students, who lack practical skills after acquiring higher education diploma, 3) mothers, raising small children (up to 3 years), as well as retired people and people with disabilities.
We are proud that knowledge and skills obtained in our training courses helped 39% of our learners find employment (according to survey performed February, 2010).
