Today (2010.07.26) one of the biggest Lithuanian newspaper “Lietuvos rytas” has published an article about Open (H)Art project, its partners, process and results.
The title: Open (H)Art: How art changes us?
From the 20th to 24th of June 2011 the 6th partnership meeting of the Open (H) Art project took place in Matosinhos/Porto, Portugal hosted by coordinating institution – E2O / Associação para a Educação de Segunda Oportunidade. During this trip, participants had a great opportunity to explore the city, to have a interesting workshops with the second chance school students and to prepare for the international conference “Open (H) art – The Impacts of Arts in Social Educational Programs” that happened on the 22nd of June and where attended by nearly 50 participants. During the conference, project work and main outcomes (including the project website) were presented to the wider audience.
On November 17-21, preparatory visit of MASCOT project (financed by Nordplus Adult Education programme) was held in Vilnius. The visit helped partners to share their experiences and to do preparatory work for improving the original project’s application.
During the meeting, partners from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania had an excellent opportunity to communicate with each other, to share their ideas and experiences, to discuss future plans. Mainly participants were focused on the analysis of Nordplus Adult Education program’s requirements and on the improvement of original application: they generated new project ideas, planned possible activities and the budget.
Participants have visited Vilnius Jerusalem Labour Market Training Centre (VJDRMC), where they have discussed adult vocational trainings in Lithuania. Moreover, partners had an opportunity to get to know Lithuanian history and culture.
From the 6th to 10th of November, 2010, the 4th partnership meeting of the Open (H) Art project took place in Bialystok, Poland. On the first day participants had a „Multicultural Podlasie Area” trip, and the next day all work has started. Everyone participated in the conference, which took next two days where they met local authorities, Polish NA representatives and NGOs, have discussed opportunities of adult general education, have exchanged the experience and discussed further plans. During the trip, participants had several dance workshops with the hosting organization Stowarzyszenie Akademia plus 50.
23rd to 26th August 2010, Janet Wonnacott, Managing Director at ALMOND VOCATIONAL LINK from Plymouth (UK) has visited our company in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci Preparatory visit action. Both organizations were happy to discover many similarities between them. We had excellent opportunity to know each other, to learn about differences in educational systems of both countries, as well as to discuss and develop project ideas for next LLP call. The meeting took place in Kaunas and Vilnius cities, where Global Ideas has its offices.

On March 25-28th, 2010, director Rasa Žilionė, IT project manager Vaidas Žilionis, administrator Jevgenija Liubimova and three elderly project learners have participated in the 5th meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning Partnership project eSenior in Ulm (Germany). The meeting was attended by representatives of partners from Italy, Turkey, Germany, Romania and Lithuania. During the meeting, progress of the project implementation was discussed: partners evaluated activities carried out and decided what has to be done yet in order to meet project goals. On the 24th of March, 2010 media production workshop was organized in the framework of The Rights Perspective project, funded by Anna Lindh Foundation. The workshop that took place at JSC Global Ideas office in Kaunas was attended by young foreign women studying in Lithuania. The learning process started from understanding fundamental human rights as legal and political concepts and moved towards more personal level. The most important conclusions were turned into script which formed framework of video production. The workshop facilitators – director Rasa Žilionė, IT project manager Vaidas Žilionis and project assistant Tomas Degutis – helped participants to find the statements and scenes to express their thoughts and to develop brief video project. The participants impersonated different types of characters, and tried to depict the diversity of understandings of what is right and wrong from various situations.Moments of the meeting:

On March 1-4th, 2010 the 2nd meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project Open (H)Art took place in Kaunas (Lithuania), where project partners from Portugal, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria and Lithuania discussed the progress of project implementation made so far. Arts and other creative methods to motivate disadvantaged social groups were discussed. Project website http://open-h-art.eu/ developed by JSC Global Ideas was presented. Possibilities of using ICT and multimedia art for social inclusion of disadvantaged persons were discussed. Partners defined similarities between their organizations and shared ways they use art in different projects. Guests had opportunity to explore Kaunas old town and to taste national cuisine. On November 5-8th, 2009 director of commerce Loreta Golubevaitė took part in the fourth meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project eSenior in Livorno (Italy). During this meeting project partners from Poland, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Romania and Lithuania shared experiences and training pathways from the local courses, agreed on project’s final products and their dissemination tools, as well as discussed methods for better involvement of the seniors into transnational learning experience. On October 12-15th director Rasa Jakštaitė took part in the kick-off meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project Open (H)Art in Matosinhos (Portugal), where the first steps of the Project implementation were discussed. Moments of the meeting:

On July 9-12th director Rasa Jakštaitė took part in the third meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project eSenior in Manisa (Turkey). During this meeting project partners from Poland, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Romania, Spain and Lithuania discussed training programs, designed and tested within each partner’s country, and analyzed results of the first year of the project implementation. Some of the seniors, who participated in the project training programs, also took part in this meeting and actively shared their experience with the others.

IT project manager Vaidas Žilionis attended Grundtvig training course “Production of good quality audiovisual eLearning and Dissemenation tools in education”, which took place between 5th and 10th of July in Chianciano Terme (Italy). During this course participants from Malta, Italy and Lithuania created audiovisual projects, shared their experience and ideas in the field of eLearning and dissemination of educational projects. The participation in this learning activity was financed by Lifelong Learning Programme, agreement No. LLP-GRU-KT-2009-LT-00051.

On April 24th administrator Jevgenija Liubimova took part in the seminar “Projects – stimulation of innovations”, which was organized by Education Exchanges Support Foundation. The seminar was attended by 12 persons – representatives of Lithuanian educational institutions, which implement “The Grundtvig Learning Partnership” projects. During seminar “Globalios idėjos” representative reviewed intermediate results of eSenior project, pointing up it’s innovative side in areas of learning process, project management, spread forms of ideas.
We kindly invite our colleagues adult educators to take part in European training event ‘Course for Trainers of Operators who lend Technical Advice and Support to Budding Entrepreneurs’ , which will take place in Lithuania (5th - 9th October, 2009) and Italy (14th – 18th December, 2009).
Training course ‘Internet for the seniors’ has been launched. During this course, group of 16 senior citizens (50+) will gain major computer literacy skills; they will learn how to surf Internet, use Skype, save information on their computers and USB memory sticks, work with e-mail; learners will also familiarize themselves with principles of safe Internet usage, learn how to use e-banking services and will be encouraged to become active members of modern information society. The training course is organized in the framework of EC Grundtvig Learning Partnership project eSenior. Course will be held on Sundays for the nearest four week.
On February 4-8th we have organized the second meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project eSenior in Druskininkai city. During this meeting, project partners from Poland, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Romania and Spain analyzed learning needs of the senior citizens, presented the developed training programmes, and discussed concept of the project website. Guests also had opportunity to explore Druskininkai city and its surroundings as well as to familiarize themselves with the traditions, songs and dances of the region. Moments of the meeting:

On December 5-10th director Rasa Jakštaitė took part in the Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci contact seminar “Lifelong training – an international bridge between educational institutions and the world of work“, in Ljubljana (Slovenia). Participation in the seminar was financed by Lifelong Learning Programme, agreement No. LLP-ERA-PV-2008-LT-0239. The seminar was attended by around 120 persons – representatives of educational institutions, enterprises and social partners from Austria, Belgium, United Kingdom, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland, Macedonia, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany. The seminar served as a space for exchange of new Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci project ideas and experiences. Moments of the contact seminar:

Introductory seminar of the training course ‘Internet for the seniors’ was held. During this event, contents and schedule of the training course were presented; the needs of the learners were ascertained. 16 persons attended the introductory seminar. The training course is organized in the framework of EC Grundtvig Learning Partnership project eSenior. The trainings will be held in March, 2009. Moments of the introductory seminar:

Participation in the seminar was financed by Lifelong Learning Programme, agreement No. LLP-LdV-PV-2008-LT-0114. The seminar was attended by 45 persons – representatives of various organizations from Belgium, United Kingdom, Greece, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland and Germany. On September 22-25th UAB ‘Globalios idėjos’ staff took part in the kick-off meeting of the EC Grundtvig Learning partnership project eSenior in Sopot and Gdansk (Poland), where the first steps of the Project implementation were discussed. Moments of the meeting:
